Action Against Childhood Cancer (AACC) Cameroon is proud to announce that we have officially joined the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital Global Alliance, a worldwide movement dedicated to improving childhood cancer care and survival. This Alliance brings together more than 300 member institutions from over 80 countries, all united by a shared mission: finding cures and saving children, everywhere.
Joining the St. Jude Global Alliance marks a major milestone for AACC Cameroon. It opens the door to international collaboration, research, and education opportunities, while amplifying our local advocacy efforts to ensure that children with cancer in Cameroon receive timely diagnosis, quality treatment, and holistic support.
For over 60 years, St. Jude has been at the forefront of pediatric cancer research and treatment, helping to increase survival rates in the United States from 20% to 80%, and in some cancers, to over 90%. Through this partnership, AACC Cameroon will be able to tap into global expertise, share local experiences, and strengthen our programs to reduce disparities in childhood cancer care in Sub-Saharan Africa.
We firmly believe that every child deserves the chance to live, regardless of race, religion, or the ability to pay. By becoming part of this global movement, AACC Cameroon is reaffirming its commitment to improving survival rates and quality of life for children with cancer and their families.
We invite our partners, stakeholders, and the wider community to join us in celebrating this important step forward. Together with the St. Jude Global Alliance, we are one step closer to ensuring that no child in Cameroon—or anywhere—has to face cancer alone.
